There is no rationale. NOIP has already written to Chairman, to reconsider the decision of P & GS dept., to deprive VRS employees of GIS.

NOIP is the only Union which has been taking up this issue, with Management every time they met at CO. The result is in 2012 settlement some relief was given in the form of " no reduction of pension till the shortfall gets wiped out due to DR rise". Although this was not to the satisfaction of NOIP, but some thinking was done by Management. This was made applicable to only those cases where the total pension was minus before Commutation.
DeleteHowever, now that LIC BOARD has passed resolution no.590 to consider LAST PAY DRAWN OR 10 MONYHS AVERAGE, WHICHEVER IS BENEFICIAL IS TO BE TAKEN. If this is accepted and Pension Rules are amended, the anamoly discussed above will not arise.
